This piece was an absolute jazz whimsy. The only aspect of this entire piece I planned on was the overall shape and volume. And a desire to push myself a bit. Every decision of the design within the form came progressively, each decision guided by the last. 

Within the area of the reverse side is a small gold chased ‘button’ with a diamond set in its center. The back side of the button is high polished gold and sits about ¼ inch above the piece itself to create a chance for gold to reflect itself. There is something about light that reflects gold back on itself that is indescribable, liquid light is the closest I can come.
